Parking a candidate.
How to keep a strong candidate alive for a future role without locking up a finalist slot now.
Last reviewed 19 September 20262 min read

Park a candidate from the finalist card, Park. The candidate is removed from the active finalist set without being told "not advanced". They are kept warm for a future role.

What parking does.

  • Moves the candidate from active to parked status on the role.
  • Sends the candidate a "we are not advancing you on this specific role, but we would like to talk again on a future role" message. The wording is editable.
  • Surfaces the candidate on the workspace Talent pool view, scoped to the role family.
  • Does not trigger an automatic invite to other live roles in the workspace. Re-invites are opt-in per candidate, logged.

How a parked candidate is reactivated.

From the Talent pool view, find the candidate, click Invite. Pick the role you want them reconsidered on. They get a one-line note: "We are re-opening this for you on the <new role title>." That invite counts as a new vetting cycle for billing if the candidate completes the new role-fit assessment.

Parked candidates obey the same retention rule as everyone else. After 24 months without activity, the candidate is auto-erased.

What to do next: park, do not "not advance", any candidate who scored within five points of a finalist.
