1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Neuroworx Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on the Picked.ai website and service. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. Neuroworx Ltd (company number 14612373, registered office 22 Charterhouse Square, London, England, EC1M 6DX) is the data controller. "Picked.ai" is a product and brand name of Neuroworx Ltd, not a separate company.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and SDKs. We use the term "cookies" to cover all of these. Cookies can be "first-party" (set by us) or "third-party" (set by a provider we use), and "session" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" (kept for a set period).
3. The categories of cookies we use
We group cookies into the categories below. Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the Service cannot work without them. All other categories are off by default and load only if you give consent through our cookie banner.
3.1 Strictly necessary (always on)
These are required to deliver the Service, keep it secure, and remember your choices. They include:
- Authentication and session cookies (so hiring managers stay signed in; provided via WorkOS).
- Candidate magic-link / session cookies (so a candidate can move through the application flow).
- Security cookies (to protect against fraud and abuse).
- Consent cookie:
picked_cookie_v, which stores your cookie choices (for example whether you allowed analytics) so we do not ask on every visit.
We rely on the "strictly necessary" exemption for these, so they do not require consent.
3.2 Analytics (consent required)
These help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. We use PostHog for product analytics, hosted in the EU (eu.i.posthog.com). Our PostHog configuration:
- loads only after you consent to analytics cookies;
- uses identified profiles only where appropriate;
- has session recording disabled.
If you do not consent, analytics cookies are not set.
3.3 Fraud and abuse prevention
Our consent record includes a "fraud" category used for fraud and abuse prevention during the hiring flow. Some of these technologies qualify as strictly necessary to keep the Service secure, and others are loaded only with your consent, as set out in the table below.
4. Cookie table
The table below lists the cookies and similar technologies we use, their providers, purposes, and durations.
| Cookie / technology | Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
picked_cookie_v | Neuroworx (first-party) | Strictly necessary | Stores cookie consent choices | 12 months |
| Session / auth cookies | WorkOS | Strictly necessary | Hiring-manager authentication | Session |
| Magic-link session | Neuroworx (first-party) | Strictly necessary | Candidate application session | Session |
| PostHog analytics | PostHog (EU) | Analytics | Product analytics | 12 months |
| Fraud and abuse-prevention technologies | Neuroworx (first-party) | Fraud and abuse prevention | Protect the hiring flow against fraud and abuse | Session |
5. Managing your choices
- You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through our cookie banner when you first visit, and change your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link in our website footer.
- You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Service working.
- Withdrawing analytics consent stops further analytics cookies; data already collected is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Changes
We may update this policy as our cookie use changes. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, re-seek consent where required.
